Manaaki ki te Tangata
This is the mana of which Ngāti Kahungunu was renown for and will continue to be as we strive forward as kaitiaki of our taonga.
He aha te mea nui o te ao? He tangata, he tangata, he tangata.
In times past there were many rangatira leading the way through good fortune and adversity, weaving the fabric of Heretaunga hapū into a vibrant whāriki;
Rangatira at every twist and turn,every awa and pathway into the bountiful ture paewhenua that is the Heretaunga rohe.
Today there is a new story that encompasses our culture, environment, societal needs, and our economic acumen to add to the rich whakapapa we inherited.
This is a place to celebrate our rangatiratanga,those that led in the past and those that are leading today, those that upheld the rear and continue to do so.
