Tēnā tatou katoa,
Young Enterprise Trust in partnership with Te Puni Kōkiri are excited to announce that the Rangatahi Business Challenge will be coming to Napier in November!
Tuesday 12th – Thursday 14th November 2019
8.45am – 2.30pm daily
McLean Park, Napier
The Rangatahi Business Challenge is a fun and interactive 3-day programme for Year 9 - 11 secondary school tauira(Māori students).  The aim of this programme is to introduce our tauira to business and enterprise, and also help them develop work-ready skills.
A brief description of what happens at the challenge…  We will be presenting seven ‘real life’ challenges / problems that we face here in Aotearoa.  The tauira will have an opportunity to pick a ‘problem’ that resonates with them.  They will then work as a team to come up with some ideas as to how they will solve that problem.   They will pick one idea, which they will build a business plan and presentation around to present to our judges on Thursday 14th November.
  • Tauira do not need to be taking business studies
  • You do not need to form teams within your school before attending.  We do that all at the challenge.  We like to mix them up and have them working with different students to they experience what it is like when they enter the workforce – you don’t get to pick who you work with
  • The programme is FREE!
  • Morning tea and lunch are provided on all 3-days.

To register your schools interest, please email me back with your schools name and the no. of tauira you would like to bring.
